VESSEL

Unique ID: WMID3027

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Published Find published

The leg is a sub-oval shape in section. The longest edge which faces inwards is curved, the outer edge is more angular at the central point, which forms a vertical ridge down the length of the leg to the tip of the foot. The upper terminal of the leg is broken, and this is not a recent break. The leg is angled at c. 45°. The foot splays outwards from the leg, forming a paw-like terminal with three toes. The base of the foot is a trapezoidal shape in plan. The surface of the leg has patches of a dark brown/black substance, otherwise the leg has not developed a patina.
