DEBITAGE

Unique ID: SOM-3C1B24

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

Small tertiary flint waste flake. Two long thin flaking scars on the right side of the dorsal face may indicate slight reworking to enable the object to be used as a scraper, but there is no further evidence for this. An abrupt break across the distal end may be the result of plough damage. The flint is light brown in colour, with lighter patches. It is poor quality. Neolithic to early Bronze Age. Length: 32.36mm, Width: 23.68mm, Thickness: 4.29mm Weight: 3.62
