An iron buckle of unknown date. It is 42.33mm long, 38.46mm wide and 8.52mm thick. It weighs 24.82g. The frame is rectangular and is not decorated. The pin is also iron and is bent round the bar. Buckles as functional as this could have been used at any date. The object was found at Towton Battlefield, but it is not known whether it is related to the battle in 1461.
