A copper-alloy finger-ring of probable 12th century date (cf. Dalton 1912: nos. 1747-9). The bezel takes the form of a raised rectanglular plinth, the longer axis set at 90 degrees to the hoop. Within the bezel is an oval setting containing a corroded white glass paste. The shoulders are narrower than the bezel and are decorated with a series of parallel transverse grooves. The bent hoop is of D-shaped section. The ring measures 29.2mm wide and 18.6mm deep (bezel to back of hoop). The bezel is 12.9mm high. The weight is 3.67g.
