Fragment of copper alloy probable Late Roman bracelet of hook and eye type, broken at one end across the eye (1.85mm wide) and consisting of about a quarter of the bracelet. It measures 51.23x8.88x1.87mm and weighs 4.7g. Now almost flattened, this fragment once had a curve. One face is undecorated with a number of scratches while the other face is decorated with a pair of grooves flanking both long edges. A single transverse groove truncates this at one end, just before the eye hole. At the other end a double transverse groove truncates it, beyond which is a short length (5.5mm) of undecorated panel with an old break at the other side. 3rd/ 4th century in date.
