Medieval copper alloy balance arm, 45mm long and 4mm in diameter. It is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs 6.61grams. The object consists of a circular sectioned arm which tapers in width towards its end. This has a collar of five ridges with an oval plate (6mm x9mm) at its end, this has a circular suspension hole in its centre. The other, broken, end has the remains of a rectangular plate which appears to have also had a circular suspension hole.
