Three rim shards from Roman black burnished ware vessels, found close together. All have a light grey-buff coloured sandy fabric, with the remains of dark brown-black slip on both the inner and outer surfaces, which remains slightly lustrous in places. Plentiful fine mica and coarser quartzite and flint inclusions. 1.
