A celtic fractional silver unit, probably a South Ferriby type of the Corieltauvi. (see Van Arsdell 887-1) or possibly a Hostidius type also of the Corieltauvi (see Van Arsdell 855-3 which has a similar but much less worn boar, or 857-3 which is similar except for the horses front legs and mane). There is a small chip out of the edge of the flan. The coin is 10.8mm in diameter and 1.1mm thick. It weighs 0.45gm. The coin dates from 55 - 10 BC.
