Silver leaf-shaped object made from two crudely-cut silver sheet pieces fitted together, perhaps part of a jewellery ensemble or ear-ring. The lower element made from re-used metal, though The British Museum Department of Coins and Medals do not think this to be a coin re-used. Upper side decorated with swirling lines with small pierced hole perhaps for suspension.
The style and facture suggest a recent dating for this object, perhaps Ethnographic.
As the find in all probability dates to later than 1707 it falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.
