Gold mourning finger ring height 19mm, width 21mm, thickness (at bezel) 15mm, weight 12.21g. The bezel of the ring is oval with a skull three-quarter facing right. Below this is the letters S T, each is encircled by a rose branch which has a flowering rose at the top. The sides of the bezel narrow to a D-section loop 3mm wide, 1.3mm thick.
Notes:
The lettering style is seen on mourning rings from the late 16th - Mid 17th century This artefact was reported under the 1996 Treasure Act.
