Description of object
Penannular gold ring of roughly circular section but with a flattened inner surface. The terminals are almost flat. There is no evidence of decorative bands of differing colours of gold. There is a transverse groove near one terminal, perhaps deliberate, which has exposed a copper alloy core. Late Bronze Age, c.1150 - c.750 BC.
External diameter 16mm; Internal diameter 5.5mm; Weight 7.21g.
