Fragment of Early Post-Medieval copper alloy rowel spur, consisting of the end of one arm. It measures 40.34x(max)13.76x2.23mm and weighs 4.8g. The arm is D-shaped in section, being flat on the inside surface. It is 7.44mm at the break. Towards the other (complete) end is a double-diagonal moulding on either side, extending slightly beyond the width of the arm. These form one edge of a crescentic curve on the edge of the arm, the other edge being finished by a horizontal projection 13.57mm wide above. This is decorated with a single groove. Beyond this is the figure-of-eight terminal (max.width) in a heart-shaped form with a decorative vertical groove along the centre. The fragment is slightly curving in profile. 17th century in date.
