STRAP FITTING

Unique ID: WMID2086

Object type certainty: Probably
Workflow status: Published Find published

The item is a rectangular shaped copper alloy sheet. One narrow edge is angled forming a point, the opposite edge is abraded and not the original edge. Decoration is incised on the upper face. The design consists of a curvaceous 'H' which looks like a chalice on its side. This design is repeated incompletely as it is unfinished when it meets the abraded edge. The area around the 'H' design has an incised zigzag pattern. The reverse of the item is plain and flat.
