The BM curator's report is as follows:
Report on post-medieval silver object from Bradford Peverell, Dorset. 2009 T77 Silver hemispherical artefact made from thin curved sheet with central knop, broken, torn along damaged lower edge and crushed. Incised lines along lower edge. Possibly part of a button of post-medieval date, perhaps late 16th to 17th Century. Dimensions: 15.37 mm x 7.58 mm x 0.47 mm Weight: 0.37 g As such, due to its age and precious metal content, this object qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
