BROOCH

Unique ID: WMID1716

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Published Find published

The bow head/wings is sub-rectangular with leaf-shaped moulding forming an inverted 'V' as decoration. On the reverse of the bow head is a vertical incomplete lug with a hole in the centre. The bow is angular and forms a right-angle to the bow head. The bow is heavily moulded with two deep grooves either side of a central ridge. This then tapers sharply and expands with a horizontal, semi-circular in section, component. The bow is incomplete an is broken here. The reverse of the bow is plain. There are traces of tinning on both faces of the bow.
