Romano British enamelled copper alloy headstud brooch, chain loop, hinged pin and most of catchplate missing, distorted bow, abraded surface. vertical grooves on wings, transverse ribbed mouldings on foot. Enamel appearing blue green fills a row of lozengiform cells down the bow, but enamel has not survived in the flanking triangular cells or in the ring of the headstud. Wingspan 17mm. Estimated length 46mm. 2nd century.
