Post Medieval copper alloy dress hook, 35mm long, 16mm wide and 4mm thick. The hook is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs 1.69grams. The object consists of a pointed hook, which is bent over itself, attached to a circular plate. The plate contains a relief depiction of a human? face contained within a dotted border. The plate has a circular sectioned trapezoidal catch along the same plane as the hook. Class E, Type 3. B Read, 2008, Pg. 92 No. 322.

Notes:

The object fits Brian Reads classification Class E type 3, in 'Hooked-clasps and eyes', Fig 323, P.92.
