A post medieval copper alloy, cast open-topped sewing ring. The indentations are set out in precise lines of seven on a slight diagonal to the vertical. It is probable, that this example is from the 17/18th century. The ring is well patinated dark green with corrosion and some loss of material at the lower edge.
