Cast copper alloy foot and leg from a large vessel. The leg is rectangular in plan widening out into a trapizoid foot (with front wider than the back) giving the entire piece a triangular cross section. There is a raised rib running down the centre of the front of the leg and foot. One corner of the foot has broken away due to an old break and the top of the leg is also a rough break. There are extensive areas of sooting on the leg and foot. It is 33.2mm tall, and the foot is 51.9mm wide by 28.6mm thick; it weighs 152 grams. Crudely made cast copper alloy vessels were widely used from c.1250-1650 for serving and cooking.
