The hoard consists of 17 gold staters and 9 silver units. These are of types originating in the Northern area [this territory is thought to have been inhabited by people known as the Trinovantes]They are issued under the ruler Cunobelin and date to the period between 10 and 40AD. These coins satisfy the various criteria of the Treasuer Act 1996. They are more than 300 years old, the find comprises of more than two coins with prescious metal content in excess of 10% .
