UNIDENTIFIED OBJECT

Unique ID: WMID1274

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Published Find published

Extremely crude cast of copper alloy. The item is semi-cylindrical. The interior is encrusted with grit particles and there are traces of iron corrosion. The exterior is very uneven. It is difficult to tell whether the edges are abraded, broken or that is the original edge. The green colour does continue from the item surface over these edges. Where the metal has been scratched the metal is a red colour suggesting it is brass.
