Medieval strap end - composite, tongue-shaped, with forked spacer, two rivets flanking round aperture with groove on both plates, front plate engraved with a line along both sides, a ladder-like arrangement of two median lines joined by eight oblique lines, and in the two spaces flanking the ladder four large engraved Vs set laterally and single and double short longitudinal lines. The spacer terminates in an acorn knop engraved with cross-hatching. 62 x 21mm, tapering to 18mm before the knop. 14th century.
