Medieval weight; cast lead shield-shaped weight of probable 12th-15th century date. The weight is a large, roughly triangular shape with a single oval hole pierced in the centre of the top side. The front of the weight has a crude cast design of a single lion rampant, facing left. The reverse is undecorated. The weight has a thick, brown-cream patina over its surface.
