Probable 1st - 2nd Century. Roman, copper alloy with rusty iron remnants. Cast, decorative, figurative knife possible wax spatula handle. Length 65.8mm, Width 18.3mm, Thickness 12.8mm, Weight 48.5g. Standing, clothed female figure probably Minerva crudely clothed, probably Romano-British workmanship with basic facial details and hooded hair style with a probable plait at the back. Arms lying in front of the body with hands crossed. Legs hidden beneath clothing running into the pedestal with cross and ridge around the base. Rusty iron remnants on the base and half way up the back of the figure. Pale green patina with a few patches of surface corrosion. Ref.
