A complete wrought iron horseshoe of later medieval date. It has a rounded outer edge and an inner profile resembling a pointed arch. There are seemingly six nail holes, arranged three-three. The holes are rectangular and taper in profile. Two nails survive partially in situ. At the heel end one side has a right-angled calkin, while the other is typically angled and without a calkin. The artefact is highly corroded but generally survives well.

It has a maximum web of c. 37.4 mm, and a minimum of c. 22 mm at the calkin. The internal gap at the heel measures 43.2mm.

This 'later medieval' form (Clark type 4) can be found illustrated in Clark (1986, 3; fig. 8).
