A copper-alloy Medieval buckle frame and pin. It is a complete oval frame, protruding at the centre of the outside edge to a point, where there is a pin-rest. The bar is narrowed and recessed for attachment for a plate, and the pin is wrapped around the bar. It is rectangular in section and comes to a point. There are three transverse lines of decoration across the pin, and traces of gilding on the upper surface of the buckle. The buckle frame measures 13.84mm in length, 16.78mm in width and weighs 2.17g.
