Early Saxon buckle with oval frame, sub-circular sectioned pin with end drooping over outside edge, rectangular folded sheet plate with pin slot and single rivet near attachment edge. Overall length 25mm. Frame 6.5 x 11.5mm. Plate 13.5 x 8mm (rear part 1mm longer than front). Gap for strap c.2.5mm. Marzinzik (2003) Type II 19b. Late 5th – late 7th century
