A slightly incomplete cast copper alloy mount, dating to the 17th century, between AD 1600 – 1700 (length: 5mm; diameter: 12.5mm; weight: 1.58g). This sexfoil mount is sub circular in plan and D-shaped in section with a slightly concaved view at the back of the artefact. The front of the mount is divided into a sexfoil design by five shallow incised lines. There is no other decoration on the artefact. At the back, there are two pointed lugs (one of which is incomplete) that would have enabled the mount to be fastened onto clothing or furniture. The mount is in a worn and corroded condition with none of the original patina surviving.
