The leg of a cast copper alloy cooking vessel, either a cauldron, a posnet or a skillet, of medieval or post-medieval date. The leg measures 47mm by 43mm by 14mm and weighs 81g. It has a broadly rectangular cross-section. The exterior face has a central projecting vertical rib. The leg has parallel sides and curves forward slightly towards the base. It would have been one of three on a complete vessel.
