A wheel-made ceramic sherd of probable Roman date. The grey ware body sherd measures 48.5mm by 43mm by 5.9mm and weighs 13.9g. The sherd has a mid grey reduced external surface and light brown/buff oxidised core and internal surface. The fabric contains reasonably well-sorted sparse iron oxide and grog (<1mm), and moderate fine mica.
