A wheel-made ceramic sherd of probable Roman date. The rim sherd measures 39.2mm by 38.3mm by 9.3mm and weighs 15.9g. The sherd has a dark grey reduced surface and reddish-brown oxidised core. The fabric contains abundant fine mica and rare iron oxide (<1mm). The rim is upright, narrowed and rounded. The sherd probably formed part of a bowl.
