The base of wheel-made New Forest Slipped Ware indented beaker dating from c. 260-370. The sherd measures 44.9mm in diameter by 34.1mm in height and weighs 31g. The fine fabric is a reduced light grey and the vessel has a dark grey slip both internally and externally (New Forest fabric 1a).
