Incomplete cast copper alloy receptacle foot, sub-rectangular in plan and tri-lobed in section, with three remaining ribs and a broken edge on either side which would have originally extended to the full width of a claw foot, probably from the end of the leg of a cauldron. Butler and Green (2003) illustrates two cauldron feet on pages 144-5, Nos.149-150 which are dated to the 17th century. Read (1988) illustrates similar foots on page 95-6, Nos.589 & 595, which are dated from the 13th to the 17th century.
