An un-diagnostic body sherd from a relatively thin walled green glazed pottery vessels; not enough survives to indicate the form or overall size. The sherd is most likely to date from the later medieval period (1350 - 1450). It is irregular in plan and curved in profile. The fabric is a relatively hard fired earthenware with a number of small angular and sub-angular grit, black iron stone, and rose quartz inclusions. The fabric is also mica rich. The colour of the fabric is a uniform orange brown. The outer surface is glazed and the inner is not. The glaze is a relatively thick green colour with a number of salt like pits and inclusions. Not enough of the vessel survives to suggest the size or form, and the sherd is particularly plough worn and abraded. The sherd measures: 24.4mm in length, 16.8mm width, is 5.7mm thick and weighs 2.41 grams.
