MOUNT

Unique ID: YORYM-AEF2E6

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

A cast pewter object, which has been either tinned or silvered. Only half of the object survives and the break is very irregular. The front surface has been decorated with a raised design. The design is heavily corroded and damaged. It appears to show a cross, with a floral border. Around the edge of the object there is a pelleted border and a raised rim. The reverse of the object is flat and undecorated. The metal is a mid silvery-grey colour. The object is post-medieval in date, but it has an uncertain function. It could be a mount.
