FINGER RING

Oval finger ring with an oval intaglio style bezel. It has a plain, D-sectioned band which narrows from the bezel to the back on both sides. Bezel is a simple oval outer rim around a recess containing red and blue enamel. There are three registers of enamel separated by two lateral lines of copper alloy - a central rectilinear band of red enamel with a semicircle of blue enamel each side. Surface is silvered/tinned. Date: Roman - 1st to 4th century
