A Medieval copper alloy mount (14th – 15th century). This is a rectangular bar mount with a trefoil terminal at each end and a rounded knop in the centre of each side. On the reverse there are three bent over spikes for attachment; one is incomplete. The front surface is decorated with a moulded plait pattern and traces of gilding remain. Dimensions: length: 42.83mm; width: 10.38mm; thickness: 9.03mm; weight: 6.82g.
