Medieval token; struck copper alloy jeton of English manufacture and late 14th century date. Obv. Simple shield within inner circle. The shield is decorated with three diagonal lines from top left to bottom right. The outer ring of the token has a line of elongated pellets running around it. No inscription Rev. Voided long cross with a trefoil terminal to each arm. Pellet in the centre. Lys in each quadrant. No inscription Diameter 21.59mm, weight 1.69g. Ref: Compare Mitchener numbers 294-296
