Mesolithic utilised waste flake (8300-3500 BC). On the dorsal surface (upper face) some natural cortex survives at the proximal end (butt) of the flake. There are signs of wear and retouch along the right edge and at the distal end (tip). On the ventral surface (lower face) where the bulb of percussion can be seen, there is retouch at the proximal end (butt) and at the right edge of the distal end (point). Weight: 11.00g, Length: 48.19mm, Width: 23.06mm, Thickness: 9.94mm.

Notes:

These flints form part of a large collection of lithic implements and associated waste flakes sampled from a larger flint scatter.
