Gold Post-Medieval finger ring from the late 17th/ 18th centuries. The ring is complete and in good condition. It is decorated on the outside and has an inscription on the inside. The exterior decoration consists of raised diagonal ridges which have punched annulets along them in a irregular manner. The inscription inside is either in French or latin but it is hard to work out. The lettering is very stylised and appears to read ' ..... le bleu'.

Notes:

This ring was found before 1997 and so should be considered under the Treasure Trove Law. As it is a single stray find it does not consitute treasure under the definition of Treasure as it was then.
