Silver trefoil-shaped dress hook, triangular backplate with three hemispherical bosses, central knop and smaller knops between bosses. Gilded. The back has a recurving hook soldered on, tip broken, and bar attachment.
Approx 2.3 cm long.
Compare very similar dress hook with maker-s mark from Kingstone area, Herefordshire (TAR 2005-6, no. 654, 2006 T128).
Notes:
As such, due to its age and precious metal content, this object qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
This has been noted as an interesting find by the recorder.
