Copper alloy T-shaped/tapering bow brooch. Broken chain loop at the head. Tubular wings housing an iron axis bar for the copper alloy hinged pin (looped end only survives). Head is a rectangular, longitudinal panel decorated with triangular and lozenge recesses for enamel (wide triangle at the top and bottom with two lozenge recesses between). At the base of this panel is a transverse moulded ridge. Below this is a large "acanthus" style knob. Below is the leg with two transverse ridges at the top. The leg is otherwise undecorated and tapers into a stepped foot. At the back is a large catchplate The back of the brooch is hollowed behind the head and knob.
