Medieval copper alloy domed thimble, made up of two domes, one inside the other, probably cast, c.1400-1550. The inner dome appears to be undecorated. The outer dome has a double groove around base, with unevenly scattered circular drilled holes of varying diameter (c.0.8-1.3mm). Squashed, the outer casing is split with some missing. Dark green patina. Length (height) 19.5mm, width (squashed, greater than original diameter) 27.0mm, thickness of inner cone 1.2mm, thickness of outer cone c.0.8mm, weight 7.04g.
