Three abraded sherds of grey ware pottery of probable 1st to early 3rd century AD date. They are likely to be of local manufacture. The sample includes two body sherds and a handle fragment. The smaller body sherd has a reduced light grey micaceous fabric with rare sub-angular quartz (up to 2mm). The larger sherd is a reduced mid grey and is sandy and micaceous with rare sub-rounded quartz (up to 1mm) and iron oxide (up to 2mm). The handle fragment is a reduced light grey with a very sandy non-micaceous fabric which contains rare iron oxide (up to 1mm). The handle is decorated with three incised longitudinal lines on the exterior surface. Total weight: 55.5g
