One sherd of Samian Ware. The fabric is Central Gaulish Lezoux, c100-200AD (a hard fired fabric, orange/red with a dull red/brown slip). The sherd is from the base of a bowl (form DR31 or similar) typical of the mid to late 2nd Century. The sherd has a partial makers mark, but unfortunately only 'M...' remains. It is difficult to speculate on possbile makers as the M could simply be the 'M' or 'MA' used in short for 'Manu', 'by the hand of'.
