Cast copper alloy mount from the Medieval period. The mount is T-shaped in plan with a decorated terminal at one end. The terminal begins with a narrow collar and continues to a semi-circular knob with an oblong pointed projection off its tip. The main body of the mount is triangular in section. The opposite end is a flattened rectangular plate. There are two rivet perforations spaced 38.21mm apart with one on the shaft and the other on the middle of the knob terminal which also still has the rivet in place. The mount is slightly bent and may have been a box mount.
