Cast copper alloy fragment from a Post-Medieval rowel spur. It is L-shaped in plan with only the spur neck and spur box remaining. The spur neck is circular in section and widens in the middle. At the junction between the neck and the box the fragment bends 90 degrees. There is a circular knob on the corner. The spur box consists of 2 arms running parallel to each other, ending in a circular terminal. This circle has a central hole through which a bar would have run to hold the rowel in place.
