Cast copper alloy Post-Medieval crotal bell. It is complete and has an iron loop still attached to the square attachment loop. There is the raised median ridge. On the top half there are 2 sound holes. On the bottom half the 2 sound holes are linked by a linear hole. The bell is decorated on the lower half with the typical sun-burst pattern and has the initials WG on. This refers to a workshop/group of bell makers which was around from the 16th to the early 18th century.
