Eleven sherds of one (or possibly two) cup of colour-coated Nene Valley ware with pedestal foot, probably an accessory vessel which was part of a Roman cremation burial, dating from the 3rd century. The eight sherds all disply the same light beige coloured clay and a black slip on the in- and outside. It is not clear what the cup or beaker was decorated with - possibly a row of dots applied after the firing process (as can be seen on one of the sherds). All sherds were found close together and it can be assumed that they came from the same vessel or two vessels which were part of the same cremation.
