Mount of the type often called "rosette-plates" or "disc-attachments", consisting of a circular plate 20 mm in diameter and a loop which would have served to hold a ring. Now very corroded, much of the edge of the circular plate has been lost, but enough remains to show that there was a border of broad U-shaped grooves radiating around the edge. Within this is a series of concentric grooves - a single wide groove flanked by pairs of narrower grooves - around a small central boss which may be the head of the small copper-alloy rivet on the reverse. The edge grooves are interrupted by the loop, which extends from one edge and tapers from 6 mm wide at the top to 4 mm at the break, which occurs just as it begins to bend under. The loop is apparently undecorated.
